Environment Pollution

When something added to the environment is harmful to living beings, pollution occurs and this is called environment pollution. There are four main elements in environment like soil, water, air and sound. So environment pollution also occurs with these very things. When greenhouse gases like carbon-dioxide, carbon-monoxide, sulphur-dioxide, nitrogen-dioxide, methane emit air gets polluted. Chiefly the mills and factories, refrigerator, motor vehicles and air conditioners create such pollution. This causes respiratory problems as asthma and bronchitis in human body. When there is presence of sewage, pesticides and fertilizers, dissolved metals, petroleum spilled from shipwrecked tankers, chemical wastes from factories- rivers and canals get polluted. Water pollution is responsible for our skin diseases like arsenic and cholera and diarrhoea etc. Horns of vehicles, loudspeakers, sound of construction work create sound pollution and that causes our ear problems or even permanent deafness. Soil pollution pertains to the contamination of the soil due to non-biodegradable polythene, heavy metals and chemical fertilizers and pesticides. If we consume foods produced from this type of polluted soil, then we are sure to grow sick. In a word, all these pollutions are making the earth inhabitable for us. That is why we should come forward to accelerate the anti-pollution activities and save the earth.
